I have always been active with sports and enjoyed working out. In the late 1970’s and early 80’s I was a member of the Birmingham Rugby Team and continue to work out today. I have seen first hand and benefited myself from massage which lead me to a new career, after retiring as a Deputy Sherriff 10 years ago.
I graduated from Birmingham School of Massage in 2007.
I specialize in Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy, Structural Integration, Sports Massage, Active Isolated Stretching, and Pain Management Massage.
I am nationally certified in Synergetic Myofascial Therapy as a level 5 practitioner and Synergetic Structural Integration under the training of Magnus Ecklund. SMT and Structural Integration are based upon the principles of Ida Rolf and is a deep form of structural and postural bodywork.
I am also nationally certified in Active Isolated Stretching under the guru of stretching Aaron Mattes.
I am experienced in orthopedic massage, sports massage, stretching, and deep myofascial work.

In recent years, the value of self-care has become more understood and accepted in our society. Whether you seek relaxation, pain management, or relief from injury, massage therapy is a worthy component to any self-care regimen. The amount of stress held in the physical body is often surprising to many clients, as is the relief a 60 or 90 minute session can bring!
I was born and raised in Birmingham and my husband and I are happy to now be raising our three kids here. After having my first child, I knew that I wanted a career that offered flexibility. I also desired something more fulfilling than my previous office environment. This thinking led me down the path to become a massage therapist. I graduated from the Birmingham School of Massage in 2015 where I became certified in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, as well as Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), which works with trigger points. In addition to those techniques, I offer Hot Stone and Pre-Natal/Post-Natal massage. Headache relief through massage is something I’m very passionate about and have seen positive results from in my clients and personally.
I love working to help my clients find an overall sense of wellbeing in body and mind. Consider taking time to care for yourself- you and your loved ones will reap the benefits!

Born and raised in Birmingham I have been a massage therapist for 7 years. I attended Virginia College for my Massage Therapy degree. I would like to think that I use an integrative approach using all modalities from Swedish, Deep Tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial therapy, hot stones, prenatal, and TMJD as well.
I love to help people who suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic low back pain, sciatica, and insomnia. Migraines, headaches, and shoulder tension are usually associated with TMJ disfunction. I am currently certified in TMJ Disfunction under Dee Vickers. This is a highly sought after modality.
I strive to make each session on my table meaningful and a guide towards peace, balance, and relaxation.

Brenda Gonzalez
My name is Brenda Gonzalez. I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. I am Hispanic and fluent in Spanish. I am a licensed massage therapist and I work at Birmingham Massage Couple. I work Monday through Saturday but I believe when one truly loves what they do it becomes more like a hobby than a job.
I graduated from Hoover High School and pursued a career in massage therapy. My goal was to get a massage therapy license and then further my education by becoming a Chiropractor but then I fell in love with massage therapy and decided I no longer wish to become a Chiropractor.
I attended Gadsden State Jr College and became a licensed massage therapist. As a massage therapist I am trained in Neuromuscular Therapy, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Therapy, Swedish, Fasciablasting, and Hot Stone Massage.
My style of massage is a very deep massage, although I don’t look it, I can apply a great deal of pressure. I believe massage therapy is a necessity for the body whether it is once a week or once a month. So what are you waiting for? Book today!

Lori Teague
I have worked in the medical field since 2001. My first job was in a hospital and that’s where I learn to assist people in their healing journey. After 14 years of working I decided to go back to school. I was working at Encompass Health and choose to apply to Occupational Therapy Assistant program. After receiving my letter of rejection I was devastated, but I immediately applied to Massage Therapy and was accepted. That’s where it all changed for me. Since graduation I have continued my education, with completion of Raindrop and Psoas Major release certification. I also offer Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stones, and Fascia Blasting. The passion I have for massage shows through my work. I believe the body is a healing machine and can be facilitated through massage. I strive to share my knowledge of massage with everyone I meet.

Niya Cammack
As a young child I always had the passion to care for others, dance and fitness. As soon as I graduated high school I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to providing care for others. During my Freshman year of college I had my mind set on becoming a PTA, but life had a different plan for me.While taking summer classes at Wallace State CC, I was introduced to their massage therapy program, I applied and got accepted to start in the Fall. While in the program my passion grew as well as my knowledge of Swedish and Deep Tissue technique and how amazing the human body works. After graduating in 2013 I continued feeding my knowledge with CEUs and attending every massage convention that offered a variety of modalities: Thai Yoga, Chinese Fire cupping, Geriatrics, Precision Neuromuscular Therapy, Osteoarthritis, TMJ/ Headache and Migraine.
My passion for care didn’t stop there, I completed training and became a licensed EMT Basic in 2015 with Jefferson State CC EMS program. During my time in that program I danced with UAB Marching Blazers as a Blazerette. Being a dancer for over 15 years has truly enhanced my ability to understand the human body from an athletic standpoint as well. Being a caregiver and massage therapist has introduced me to so many amazing things that allows me to be a better dance coach, fitness instructor and provide excellent care to my clients as well as a long lasting bond.
Andre’ James
Hi. My name is Andre’.
I’m a former U.S. Navy Medic and 2016 honor graduate of The Virginia College School of Massage, with a dual certification in Therapeutic Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy. My work is fueled by compassion and influenced by a belief in the life-changing benefits of therapeutic touch- something much needed in our often disconnected, overmedicated and touch-deprived culture.
My sessions are customized and can be as light or as deep as you need, while incorporating a flowing, continuous, rhythmic style, occassionally enhanced with traction, stretches and side-lying work.
My other credentials include additional certifications in Medical Massage from the L.M.T Success Group, Deerfield Beach Florida and Myofascial Cupping from Professional Education Systems Institute (PESI). I’m well-versed in Swedish, Deep tissue, Prenatal massage, hot stones, chair massage, Total Body Stretch, Sports Massage, Acu-Thai and exfoliation. I also have prior medical training from The Hospital Corps School at Great Lakes Naval Base, Illinois; and Field Medical Service School at Camp Pendleton Marine Base, Oceanside, California.
When it comes to massage, experience has taught me that people often view it as a luxury. Basically, something they limit to birthdays, anniversaries, and other special ocassions. However, massage is so much more. It is, in fact, a medical necessity. A medical necessity with a documented 5,000 year history of treating multiple conditions, and in myriad cultures across the globe.
Massage not only promotes relaxation, but can increase your range of motion, aid your circulation, lower your blood pressure, reduce the impact of anxiety and depression, address scar tissue, enhance your athletic performance, and help to correct issues like the rounded shoulders and/or back pain that result from working at a desk, among other benefits.
For this reason, I often recommend that clients increase their massage frequency and try to educate them about the importance of making monthly and bi-weekly sessions a regular part of their self-care routine. (i.e. a healthy diet, excercise, stretching, meditation, etc.)
My general approach to your care includes making YOU and your needs the focus of my effort and attention. I also strongly believe in setting healthy expectations, getting feedback, and creating comprehensive and personalized treatment plans that help me tailor my techniques to both your short AND longterm needs.
Furthermore, I love to educate clients about my craft, what I do, how I do it, and why. Ultimately, I view each session as part of an organic collaboration between you and me. A joint effort within an on-going therapeutic relationship that not only manages your current issues, but continually evolves to meet other needs as they may arise.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
